Itinerary


Day 1 Journey to Bwindi Forest

Your guide will meet you in Entebbe or Kampala before beginning the journey to southwestern Uganda.

As you travel through Uganda's countryside, you'll pass local villages, tea plantations, rolling hills, and scenic landscapes that offer a glimpse into everyday life.

Stop at the Equator for photographs and continue towards Bwindi Forest.

Approximately 8–9 hours

Overnight

Broadbill Forest Camp or similar

Today is the highlight of your journey.

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

You'll then enter Bwindi Forest in search of one of the habituated gorilla families.

The trek may take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the gorillas' location.

Once located, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural environment.

Watch young gorillas play, mothers care for their infants, and silverbacks quietly monitor their family group.

Overnight

Broadbill Forest Camp or similar

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe.

Enjoy lunch along the way and arrive in the evening.

Airport transfers can be arranged for late evening departures.

Hiking boots, waterproof jacket, long trousers, gardening gloves, and a small backpack are recommended.
